The purpose of the Award is to encourage outstanding researchers from all disciplines in Academia Sinica to concentrate perseveringly on their research works without constrains of the regular grant applications. Academia Sinica will provide the award recipients with sufficient resources to pursue the original study in knowledge. They are expected to produce cutting-edge achievements and receive the recognition as the top scholar of the particular field in the future.
