Home > Career Development Award

Academia Sinica wishes to recruit and encourage young scholars who have an excellent track record and outstanding research potential, the opportunity to apply for five-year fixed-term research funding under the Career Development Award. This objective of the program is to promote world-class research talent in Taiwan on research topics of international relevance. These guidelines are established to promote this end.

This award is on a referral basis. Please refer to Guidelines for the Career Development Award for details.

2011 Career Development Award Now Open for Recommendation

Academia Sinica Career Development Award offers a 5-year fixed-term funding to recruit and encourage young scholars with an excellent track record and outstanding research potential. The objective of this program is to promote world-class research talent in Taiwan on research topics of international relevance. Submission of referrals for 2010 now begins

  1. This award is on a referral basis, not by application. Submission of referrals for 2011 should be made by May 20, 2010 with one electronic copy and ten hard copies of all supporting materials to Academic Affairs Office.

  2. Candidates who have been referred for the positions of Associate Research Fellow or Assistant Research Fellow at AS, and whose applications are still under review, are also qualified.

  3. The 2010 Career Development Award begins on Jan. 1st, 2011, and is not in conflict with other Thematic Research Programs at Academia Sinica.
